I've been wearing these Gold Toe socks in black and white for years. They have comfortable padding in the sole of the sock and have a nice feel in the upper. I've never worn a single pair and I'm pretty picky about them - I wear them with sneakers, for gardening, with motorcycle boots and with boots for all types of work in all conditions. all sorts of places. They are simply comfortable, fit perfectly and are not bulky. The only reason I buy more is because I've lost too much because the dryer gods take their cut so I lose half a lot of pairs in multiple wash cycles!
