I'm comparing this to ACT Restoring Fluoride Mouthwash because that's what I usually use. Therefore, these fluoride mouthwashes should help restore tooth enamel and strengthen teeth. My dentist didn't say the enamel on my teeth improved, but he didn't say it got worse either. So I suspect this type of mouthwash is doing what is expected. There are two main differences between this Listerine and ACT. The first difference is that ACT contains no alcohol, making it a little more tolerable than Listerine. I say this because you should not rinse your mouth after using this mouthwash for at least 20 minutes. Now that Listerine contains alcohol, it's a shame not to rinse your mouth out after using mouthwash. The second difference is that I like that Listerine is blue and ACT is green. That doesn't seem like such a big deal, but since you can't rinse your teeth for 20 minutes, ACT leaves a green tint on your teeth until you can rinse them out.
