Okay I need to act age appropriate. But I was inspired to buy a van like mine for my granddaughter's second birthday. The Radio Flyer film Rise (available on the Radio Flyer website and on YouTube (the links were here but had to be removed, Revane says)) inspired meβor propelled me. The film features a grandfather driving his grandson in a van the way my siblings drove our Radio Flyer in the '60s and '70s. After acclimating my granddaughter a bit, I found a small step and climbed up behind her like a grandfather in the video. A week or two later the wheel broke - the hub flew out of the wheel. At this point I noticed that the hub was made out of two pieces of plastic, either fiberglass or nylon, and not a 1960's and 1970's steel bearing. In addition, the floor of the transporter was dented upwards - too much weight. I am fully clothed at 190lbs which is not bad for a grandpa and my 2 year old granddaughter probably weighed around 25lbs so probably 215lbs combined. Agree, it's overweight. The weight limit is 150 pounds according to the specs, which I double-checked later. I think I focused too much on the grandfather and grandson image as in the official video. So be careful not to make the same mistake - don't ride with your child or grandchild unless they are under the weight limit. On the other hand, the company immediately replaced the wheel free of charge and did it very quickly. My granddaughter loves her van and I love driving her around in it. I just wish I could ride her like in the video. . . .
