So this product is thicker than I thought it would be and almost a little lumpy. If I don't wash my face/rinse my lashes before application, it sticks like crazy to me. Also, the wand is unusual to use. It works well as soon as I feel it, but the first few times I've used this mascara I almost thought of throwing it away. I really have to ROCK the wand while using it and blink slowly to get a nice curve. It dries quickly so I can apply a coat to each eye and then apply another almost immediately. What Works Best For Me: Wash your face and lashes to remove any stray buildup. Use longer bristles on a stick and gently roll to lightly cover my lashes. Swipe in one or two strokes, then run your finger down the shorter side to create color near the tips. Another stroke of the longest bristle, just a tiny bit to thin/broaden the tips. Repeat on the other eye. For the second coat, I apply the longest bristle of the brush very gently to the tips of the lashes to add some volume and darken the base of the lashes (light brown lashes here). Washable with soap and water in the shower. bleeds easily and not too much from daily wear/sweat/accidentally rubbing eyes from time to time. It didn't irritate me after the first few minutes, but that might be because it's a new formula for me and it felt a bit weird to use. After a week or two of regular use, there is no irritation at all. Not sure I'll be buying this brand again - I like my other Maybelline line better (hulks I think? Thick yellow tube with purple writing, ha.).
