I've been using these Scent Gems for about a year now and love them way more than any other type of air freshener or odor neutralizer I've tried. Air fresheners typically cause headaches, and odor neutralizers last about five minutes. I first got them for use in a small public restroom and a stuffy old public conference room. Both rooms struggled with unique and unpleasant odors, and the scented gems worked great. For the first two weeks after opening a new tub, there's definitely a smell of air freshener in a small space like a bathroom, and while it's pleasant, it's a bit strong if you're sensitive. But in a large room, like a conference room, it's not noticeable at all. What stands out is that the room just smells fresh and clean. My first baths lasted almost six months, despite the product description saying they will last "up to 45 days". I think the draft in the room, the quicker the balls will evaporate. My rooms have almost NO ventilation and breeze through so they lasted quite a while. Don't remove the bathtub seal when small children or pets are around - if one of the little balls starts bouncing around the room they will definitely want to go find it and I'm not sure what the balls are made of. but I doubt that's what anyone's supposed to eat!
