We bought this puzzle mat so that we can use the puzzle dining table and quickly put everything away when we need a table. I've only had the rug for a week or so but so far so good. The product is simple so you are making a difficult decision because there are so many others. There were 2 reasons we chose this brand: 1. The piece of felt cloth is packaged rolled up so there are no folds that would not lie flat. A folded piece of felt with such creases would be terrible.2. The dimensions of this carpet are 40x30. While others offered 40 inches, very few had 30 inches - most were around 26 inches. This allows a standard 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle to fit on a mat with an approximately 3 inch spare top and bottom. Without that extra 4 inches, the puzzle would sit edge-to-edge on the mat. 3. The center balloon (yes, it stays inflated) has an attached valve that makes it easy to rotate. It's hard to explain until you get it, but trust me, it's a nice feature. Bottom line, I see no reason why you should not be happy with this product. It's a few bucks more expensive than others, but it does exactly what it's supposed to and has a few minor quirks. Clarifications that others don't have.
