Last week my check engine light came on and the code showed my vacuum sensor had failed. Before I rushed for new parts, I did what every other car enthusiast does - I climbed the forums. Most of what I found led me to corroded/dry rotting vacuum lines. This seems to be common with Audi and VW. I opened the hood, removed all the plastic cowls, and lo and behold, the vacuum lines were damaged. Audi uses a 3.9mm spare tube, but 5/32 is close enough. After a quick search on Amazon, I found the 50 feet for less than $15. This material is the same as what is sold locally except I don't have to worry about being limited to 6ft overall length. I can cut to the length you want. This is a very heavy gauge hose, not like the general picture. It arrived within a few days of ordering via FSSS. Highly recommended!
