Review on ๐Ÿ’ก Wago 221 413 LEVER NUTS Conductor Connectors: Secure and Efficient Electrical Connections by Michael Hemmig

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They seem so simple to me compared to the wire nut

They are almost half the size of the original design, flat, square, while the previous design was convex-oval in shape, easier to open and manipulate With the thumb, compared to the older lever style, here the tongue is easier to lift with the thumb as it is wider. For 12 and 14 Romex in junction boxes extending the already too short hot/neutral/ground wire in the junction box and doing a new job they seem so easy to me compared to a wire nut just because you twist at least 3 per box or that Grouping multiple wires, twirling your wrist all day is outdated, why not use a newer style connector? Yes, old-school people, they will refuse to use them, wire nuts are good enough, and most importantly CHEAP! for the price compared to the lever nut but I will never go back although I feel like wasting it on a multiple ground point where I only use transparent 8 wire push in connectors. It's fantastic to open the box and realize that you can simply unplug it and easily reuse it and the wiring without having to unwrap a bunch of wires to either add the circuit or expand the box. but in truth when do you close the junction box, when do you ever open it again? most likely if a new type emerges 10 years later. I love her. 50 cents each? here 50 for $20, depending on shipping. Big advantage, hang the light in the ceiling box, stranded light wire, connects to 14 gauge solid copper, no pliers and twisting required, hold the pendant light in front of your face, stand on a stool, hands in the air, just squeeze, click, click, hot , neutral, grounded, done. Screw the bracket to the box.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
