I have red, black, white, taupe and brown belts; small size. My waist is 28 inches. I can wear these belts over a dress/top as a waist belt. I can wear them to hold my pants (although I didn't get these straps for that purpose). I can wear them over blazers and coats. The length is just right for all of the above functions WITHOUT the need to punch additional holes or trim the length. Red is a true, neutral red (not orange-red, not blue). -red); white - true white (not eggshell, not ivory, not cream); Taupe - neutral taupe (no gray or yellow undertones) and brown is actually tan/cognac, which is much more versatile than true brown. They are exactly like in the photo. I especially like that they don't have silver or gold hardware, which makes them better match your outfit and can be combined with any jewellery. So far this is my best buy this year.
