I needed a replacement door as my old one was worn and the latch was not working properly. I ordered one but found it a little different and wanted us to drive some long screws into the wall (19 inch wall) to connect them and no longer allowed us to screw the inside into the wall and then to snap the outside on it. So I figured I probably need one with a tunnel (although we already had a tunnel extension) because maybe it was built more for screwing into thick walls. I ordered one with a tunnel and two magnets on the collar. however, the same is done, and "two collars" - that is two magnets with ONE collar - is misleading. Not sure why they changed the design or how they expect us to get a long screw through the wall and into a hole in the plastic piece inside. The old design was much better. We adapted it ourselves to make it easier and more secure to wall mount lasts a year or two and then needs to be replaced And we sometimes have to fiddle with the latch between them as it sticks to the cat hair and then doesn't work - but it may need to be cleaned and adjusted and it will work again for about two years and then it just wears out and stops working. We replaced this one because the neighbor's cat got in and broke it. When it works, it's great and keeps skunks and neighbor cats away. I just wish there was technology that combined facial recognition with this door so the cat couldn't bring mice. It would be worth the extra money!
