I've bought several of these shovels and personally I like their larger size and no snapping tip. Maybe it depends on what kind of litter box you use? For picking up old-fashioned Fresh Step (non-clumping) clay cat litter, this has proven to be the best for us. I cover the boxes with white drawstring ties and this helps keep the bag from ripping and ripping for a week. My cats are hefty patrons and between that and my quest for him, this scoop helps the most in saving the liner! I just bought another one as part of my mom's kitty gift set!
