Oracal 651 vinyl tape was just what I was looking for to seal the edges of framed artwork. I've tried regular tape but when I pull it off the spool it distorts because it's elastic and sticks tightly to the layer underneath on the roll. I had to keep a straight edge and be able to handle it easily. This tape is just the thing as it comes with a paper backing so it keeps its shape. Handling is also considerably simplified. No problem laying it in a straight line. Sticks very well. On a smooth surface it will be difficult to lift. I couldn't find a better band for my needs.
