Review on Yoga Sling 2 Sandal For Women By Sanuk by Jacqueline Mclaurin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Only four stars, but you should still buy these shoes.

First of all, why I knocked off one star: These get stinky so quickly. This isn't me having smelly feet and tons of smelly shoes and not being self-aware; I've had my friends smell my shoes (great friends, 10/10 would recommend) and they agree that Sanuk just soaks up the smell. There isn't much you can do about that, and it allegedly isn't noticeable unless you're right near them. I've had two Sanuk-brand pairs of sandals, and both have adopted The Stench. Yikes.OTHER THAN THAT, let me tell you why these are still worth your money:1. They're so comfortable. I don't recommend these to people who need arch support, because they don't provide it, despite being made from yoga mat material. If you don't need the extra support, however, these are absolutely fine for a day of walking commute--nicely cushioned with the mat material. Sometimes the back strap gets tight, but it's negligible. The fabric straps are very soft and gentle, for the most part.2. They're stylish! Can you wear them to a gala? Probably not if dignity or social status are important to you. But the grey pair looks great with the everyday, and then I have a black pair for casual/outdoor dates. Both have won tons of compliments.3. They're easier to put on than they look. Once you get used to them, they don't take any longer than that pair of sneakers whose shoe laces you tied, like, a year ago and have religiously left tied because they're just loose enough to put on without untying. I do recommend sitting down, the first few times, because sometimes your toes might get caught, when you're first adjusting. So, style, comfort, ease. Even with The Stench, I would (and will) buy these again.PS: If you're a 5.5 like me, size 6 works fine.

Pros
  • Non-slip soles for stable footing, whether on the yoga mat or out and about
Cons
  • Limited use in professional settings
