What if you had a doorbell you couldn't hear?

While this was easy to install, the loudest volume is simply not loud at all. I placed the receiver/speaker in the hall located in the center of the house and you can only hear it IF you are near it. I finally chose to place it in the living room, since that is where I spend most of my time. The loudest volume needs to be TWICE as loud as it is. I guess this will work until I can get something louder.
