First of all, it's important to note that this case simply slips over the Rift S' existing padding. This means it doesn't add any extra cushioning, but it REALLY increases the surface area, so I'd say it's a bit more comfortable. However, since it only rests on top, it's not very reliable, especially in the forehead area, which sometimes slides up during intense gaming sessions. It would be nice to see an improved design that offers a little more protection. Second, silicon is both a plus and a minus. Obviously the benefit most want from this is easy cleaning and no soaking up of sweat. It definitely covers both areas well. However, being silicone it doesn't breathe and I've found that it does actually make me sweat more than usual, and although I have to play around a bit to be sure the lenses do fog up a little after a short while seem to be. All in all, a decent solution to the problem of poor padding and standard facial interface hygiene, but far from a perfect or ideal solution.
