Immediately after receiving this projector I had a movie night in my backyard. The audio quality was terrible (e.g. whispers) so I plugged in my own speakers, which I know are good because I've used them many times on my laptop and previous backyard movie night projector. But when I connect my speakers directly to this projector, the maximum volume drops to just over a whisper. This completely ruined movie night because no one heard anything. Since then I've learned that it's better to play a movie through my laptop and connect speakers to my laptop. Pooh. This defeats the purpose of purchasing this projector. I was planning on going straight from my phone or hooking up a projector to an Apple TV and playing shows/movies through it. But the Apple TV doesn't have speaker output, so the only options are to use the projector's speakers or plug my speakers into the projector, which again was a terrible experience.
