Adhesive tape strips tear easily, edging goes on crooked
I bought this edging to prevent metal bar stool backrests from chipping the sides of a granite countertop. The long strip of this black edging comes without the double-sided tape installed. You apply the tape on both surfaces of the 99 degree edging. When you gently pull the tape cover off as the edging is held in place, it keeps ripping. As you reach under the edging to get at the ripped tape edge, the edging shifts/moves on the surface it is being applied to. The adhesive holds very well to my countertop, but it looks horrible … wavy. I do not recommend this product.
