This bag has everything I wanted. Reminds me of an old camera bag. I got so many compliments! Other reviewers note the bag's smell. The metal clasps and buckles on the straps are well oiled and have a slight metal odor. The skin smells too. Neither is uncomfortable, but I still notice it after using it for a few months. After several months of use, several days a week, there was no sign of wear. It had enough space for my laptop, textbook, 5 piece notepad, extension cord, water bottle, etc. I couldn't ask for anything else in a laptop bag!
