I didn't understand why the lights on my new Carson trailer weren't working. The trailer salesman had no idea and just handed me a no entry sign before I left the lot. I did a little research and found out that the trailer lights are LED and that most German cars see low voltage as a fault and don't respond. Do not apply power through the trailer connector. This device worked exactly as promised. Too bad the Carson supporter doesn't bother doing the same research so they can sell them to Mercedes, Porsche, Volkswagen and Audi owners from certain model years.
