What a cool test light! This should be in every mechanic's toolbox, from novice to pro. I'm a professional mechanic and bought these after years of using the LED test lamp (see second picture). I immediately compared the current of the OTC test lamp to the Snapon lamp (nothing wrong with that btw) and it proves that the incandescent lamp draws 0.156mA of current. The LED test lamp consumes only 0.048 mA. The design of this test lamp is better than expected and the coiled wire will not be a problem, it is very flexible and stretches easily. The snapon coil wire always breaks when bent slightly, but the OTC has a great alligator clip that is easy to squeeze and has one major benefit. I'm very impressed considering I paid $80 for a Snapon. What a gap!
