Yesterday morning our laptop died in a puff of smoke. I opened it up and saw a charred spot on the motherboard. It's time to replace the entire laptop anyway. So I pulled out a SATA M.2 drive (not NVME) hoping I could recover a lot of files and pictures on the drive. Much of this is already reserved, but not the latest changes. I ordered this suitcase and somehow it came to me 24 hours after ordering. I was able to fit the drive into the case in about 1 minute. The drive comes with a magnetic screwdriver that is needed to close the case. With the cable that came with it, I read my files right away. Works EXACTLY as described. The cable that comes with it is thick and durable (maybe they upgraded it as previous reviews said the cable isn't top quality). To recap, I recovered my files and now have a 256GB external SSD that can be used for a basic backup. and storage. A NOTICE. If you have an NVMA M.2 SSD, I think you need an enclosure other than this one. This worked with my SATA M.2 SSD.
