I bought this because the Razer Sabretooth I needed to replace used sticky membrane contacts for the D-Pad which was shattered and was sticking out a permanent down arrow. I used the buyer's Q&A and the answer seems to be coming but with no specifics so hopefully my review will answer the next person who might ask. Yes, the D-Pad problem has been solved in Wolverine - it uses a very tactile set of contact switches, similar to ABXY buttons. Huge improvement. The only pressing issue I have at the moment is that the only part of this controller that lights up is the RGB strip at the top. On the Sabretooth, all of the ABXY buttons were lit, and there was a small display at the bottom between the D-Pad controls. A quick poll reveals that for PC users there isn't a setting for this controller, so there's no way to change colors, brightness, or anything else. To be honest, that doesn't bother me - tactile controls are much more important than backlighting - though the lack of backlit buttons is a bit annoying in low light. If you are an X-Box user, you can customize and modify the controller as you like. just not us PC people. a little lame if you ask me.
