Review on 🔌 Wired to Wireless Carplay Adapter: Apple Carplay/iPhone Compatible USB Dongle for Factory Wired Carplay Vehicle (Fitment Info) by Brian Hazzard

I've only had this unit for a few days but so far it has exceeded all my expectations. Based on various customer reviews, I was hesitant to buy any of these wireless CarPlay conversion devices. There are several different brands on the market, but they all seem to have the same functionality and possibly the same internals. This is advertised in the title as being compatible with the Jeep Wrangler JL/JT, which I understand is an identical system to my Grand Cherokee. That is what prompted me to buy this one. Installation went smoothly and took less than 5 minutes. The installation process seems to have stopped and I remembered other people saying to unplug UConnect from your phone. As soon as I did that, the process ended. The CarPlay screen comes on all the time and stays on for about 10-15 seconds after the car starts. I also didn't notice any significant lag when using the phone. All the features I had when connected to a wired network turned out to be identical to a wireless connection. I was also amazed at how small this device was. It fits perfectly in the recess in the center of the dashboard where the USB port is located. So far, so good. Hope it works like this for a long time to come _______________ UPDATE: A few more observations after long trips with this device to New York and Chicago (from Michigan) I'm still very impressed! After 4000+ miles of driving it just failed to connect once (I had to unplug and plug the USB back in). It also takes about 25-30 seconds to connect to my phone (a bit longer than originally stated). Still perfectly acceptable, especially when I have to back out of the parking lot anyway. Also, I was initially concerned about how long the battery in my phone would last on a longer trip (when the phone isn't charging). I found my iPhone 11Pro battery to be about half charged after about 4 hours of wireless use. This thing works GREAT!
