Bought for my wife. She loves decorative lamps. I've never installed LED lights before so it took me a little time to figure it out and I made a few mistakes that I hope I can help you avoid. Here are some tips and hints: 1) Pay attention to the correct orientation when connecting 2 strips (i.e. 12V must be connected to 12V, R to R etc.) 2) The LED strip is difficult to insert into the plastic . Connections. To make things easier, use a small flathead screwdriver to pry up the pins in the connector. They bend and lay on top of the LED strip when you close the connector. 3) To make it easier to fit the LED strip into the plastic connector, leave the substrate. This is easier than removing the strip from the part of the LED strip that you insert into the connector. 4) Do not try to connect two 16ft LED strips together. That didn't work for me. I don't think there is enough current to power 32 foot long LED bulbs. I made a big loop around my window so I could install 2 strips on the wifi module in one corner and rotate them in opposite directions to make a full loop. but they look great once installed! And most importantly, my wife loves them!
