Good fabric, poor fit

I give this product two stars because the material was nice and thick and the design of the dress was exactly like the photo. But without the fact that I had no other options, I wouldn't have gotten over the headache I had last weekend. I needed a vintage white dress for a Saturday night. Ordered this dress with first class shipping for Friday delivery. And for extra security (because I lost my packages etc.) I ordered TWO of these dresses. One small, one medium. Usually these dresses fit me well in a small size, but I decided to order a medium size as a fallback. I was delighted when both dresses arrived on a Friday and none were missing. When I returned home and pulled both dresses out of the pockets, I was immediately disappointed. A "white" dress is actually a "white" dress. It wasn't too much respect but it showed with the all white accessories I bought for him. I open the little one and go put it on. Lightning doesn't want to level up. Not in the sense of "she's too big for this dress", but in the sense of "maybe the fabric is saggy or the seam". I finally manage to get it through the waist seam which seemed to be stopping it and the zipper breaks. I couldn't unzip the zipper to clench my teeth and had to extricate myself. Calm down, take a deep breath. So I bought a spare dress in case this happens. I open a medium-sized dress completely, step inside and open it - and it doesn't move. Not an inch. Four days later I got a big, horrible looking blister on my finger from pulling so hard on that zipper and trying to pop it. At this point I've spent thirty minutes trying to salvage ONE of these dresses. I bought two and BOTH were defective. You are joking? And I need this dress in less than a day, too late to order anything else. I ended up finding a tailor who worked on Saturdays and was able to quickly replace the zipper. He replaced the zipper with an industrial bridal zipper and even added a hook and eye closure at the top. The dress fitted perfectly and paired with vintage clothing and a crinoline was just what I needed for my big night out. However, I paid $25 for an emergency zipper replacement on a $30 dress. If even one was defective, I would just ignore it. But that both dresses had problems with the zipper? The equipment used is simply cheap and inefficient. I really like the material and fit of the dress but if I were to purchase another dress I would make sure I have extra income at that point to invest in a replacement zipper before wearing.
