I recently bought a couple of Dell 7480 laptops with Windows 10 and they're the norm now that Dell has dropped the standard dock that you stand your laptop on and plug it into. Now it connects directly to a port on your PC. Quite easy. At the moment I use a PC with two open monitors and a laptop display and use them separately (extended desktop mode). I had to update after installing the driver from the included USB stick they gave you and the screen flickered a few times and then started working fine. I've been using this for a little over 2 months with just a weird initial instance. Works well!
