I used this product to tint the windows of my sailboat. I opted for 2.5% shade instead of 5% for added sun protection and privacy. I'll have to see how well the water evaporates from the film and may change my rating, but here's my experience: ; However, the product was not damaged, so everything was fine. Another user complained about the tint sticker and couldn't be more correct. A branded decal will ruin about 6 to 8 inches of a 6.5 foot roll, so keep this in mind when sizing your work. Application: The transparent adhesive protective film was difficult to remove from the tint. Be careful not to crumple the film when removing the protective backing as this will permanently crease the tint film. I recommend snipping off a small corner of the paint with a razor blade to save yourself a headache. As with any colour, use plenty of moisture during application and ensure windows are free of dirt/stains before applying tint. You can use a mixture of baby shampoo and water, but for a few bucks I recommend buying the product in an aerosol can. traps a lot of moisture on an even application surface compared to other paints I've used; That might not be a problem, but I'll see about it in a few days. The material cuts well, almost too easily; Keep your hands steady and take breaks as your razor blade will not encounter resistance when cutting this foil. In general, this is an economical solution. This is a decent product with poor packaging. 2.5% becomes very dark after application. My boat was in the shade on a sunny day and I had to press my face to the window to make out the shapes of the figures. If you want to try toning, grab an extra roll and have fun. For reference, I bought two rolls for the 4 windows shown, plus a very small window near the bow (1 x 2 foot window). Much luck!
