This shelf is easy to install. However, the mechanism to increase or decrease the width is just a button under the shelf. It clicks when it expands, so when the shelf is pulled out to the width of the locker (it's wide enough), but since it's gradually increasing I can't extend it to the next step to keep the shelf securely in the locker . It's very wobbly and every time you put something on or take it off it moves and walks away. Not a very good buy, I recommend looking for something else.

This is a great little shelf for school lockers. It is adjustable in both height and width and almost doubles the usable closet space. My daughter loves this! Her locker was a total mess before we installed this shelf. She is much more organized now, making it easier for her to find the right books for her next class and saving time when she has very little left. It will easily hold a full load of heavy textbooks and leaves the bottom of the locker free for extra books, lunch boxes etc. Great…

I go through the shelves to organize my locker and it works. I found many shelves but almost all of them are not flat on top. They have big holes or gaps that some of my stuff might get stuck in. Or just fail. Note that this one isn't exactly flat on top, but that's good enough for me. The assembly is very quick. Stability is at its maximum when you adjust it so that it rests against the walls of the closet. Remember this is called a SEPARATOR SHELF. It is not to be used as a separate shelf. It
