Description of Laboy Glass 500ML Single Neck Round Bottom Boiling Flask Heavy Wall With 24/40 Joint Heating Reaction Receiving Flask Organic Chemistry Lab Glassware

STANDARD SIZE--- This round bottom flask designed with 24/40 standard taper outer joint,interchangeable,leak-free,comparing to common boiling flask without ground joint, it is convenient,safe,easy-operation in laboratory glassware setup. Capacity of 500mL. HEAT-resistance DESIGN ---With spherical bottoms, this RBF is more resistance to fracturing under vacuum, as a sphere more evenly distributes stress across its surface. Laboy glass flasks are heavy wall designed, made by hand-blowing to ensure uniform wall thickness, made of high-quality borosilicate glass and annealed at 800 degree Celsius ,can...

Sturdy RBF in my review

We routinely use round bottom flask in our lab and I found these RB flask to be of very good quality. It feels sturdy and does not break very easily.Thank you.

Pros
  • Excellent product
Cons
  • Can be difficult to clean due to its shape and size

Great basic boiling flask

Haven't had any problems with the Laboy boiling flasks. It's only seen moderate use but it looks to be a well made flask. Joints fit nicely.

Pros
  • Quality product at low price.
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to store and organize due to its unique shape and size

High Quality on my review.

Amazing quality came faster than expected there were no bubbles or cracks exactly as advertised perfect glass ground joints this is definitely the best labware especially for the price

Pros
  • These are decent flasks, very serviceable for the price.
Cons
  • Ordered round bottom but got a flat bottom instead

Great Flask for my opinion

Awesome glass as usual! Performs like any other round bottom from companies such as chemglass, just for a much lower price point!

Pros
  • Good 👍
Cons
  • One of these flasks' has a crack in the neck.

the guy who made it, or packaged MUST notice it

It was well packageded, and the shipping was smooth and really fast, but as I try to show in the pictures, it has a bubble big enough to be a pintch in the flask, making it useless for many procedures, never the less, is well made and it is heavy wall. I was waiting this flask with anxiety and hope :p, going to keep it and try better luck next time.

Pros
  • Solid. Not incredibly thick but gets the job done
Cons
  • Very fragile. The neck broke after several times using. You get what you pay for.

I've found everything I've bought from Laboy to be well made and equivalent to the super-expensive stuff you can get from standard places like Fisher and Sigma. I always end up checking Laboy products first before buying glassware now.

Pros
  • Lab & Scientific Products
Cons
  • Heavy and bulky design may make it difficult to work with for long periods of time

arrived well packed and unbroken

packaged well which is extremely important when dealing with fragile lab glass. seems to be well made and the neck joint was a correct 24/40. overall, very satisfied--would not hesitate to buy again.

Pros
  • I love Laboy they're the very best.
Cons
  • May be prone to cracking or chipping if mishandled

I tend to order SEOH and Laboy most often for a majority of my experiments and products. Laboy isn't what you have probably come expect from a Chinese manufacturer. If you need glassware that just looks and feels like awesome quality--the answer is Laboy. I love Laboy for their quality. When I need something that I expect to break like beakers I tend to get SEOH (their prices are excellent), but when I get something with the expectation of it lasting a lot of abuse then Laboy is absolutely the…

Pros
  • nice thick wall flask, no imperfections
Cons
  • Not suitable for high-pressure or high-temperature reactions

Lab Boy is great for my opinion

I like lab boy products a lot. problem is I am still waiting for the top for these flasks. Same order as this, but never showed

Pros
  • Lab Flasks
Cons
  • May not be a suitable choice for labs with limited space or tight budgets

Flat bottomed not round

Ordered 2 250ml round bottoms and 2 100ml round bottom flasks. The 100ml were round bottoms but they shipped 2 flat bottom 250ml flasks instead.

Pros
  • ok
Cons
  • Large and bulky design may take up a lot of space on lab benches or shelves

A great piece of lab ware from China.

I recall when breaking glass labware meant an annoying bill from the store room manager, so I was dubious about the quality of chemical glassware coming from China for such low prices. Laboy exceeds my expectations--the glass is of a durable thickness, without ripples or "seeds" or inclusions, the ground glass mates perfectly with my American-made glassware (the grind seems a bit more coarse but to no disadvantage) and even though I haven't stress tested the flask (e.g., pouring liquid nitrogen

Pros
  • Lab quality. Works. 👍
Cons
  • Not compatible with every type of chemical or solvent

Strange size, but great flask.

By strange size, I mean the diameter is slightly smaller than 1L RBFs I've gotten from other manufacturers. They all fit my 1L heating mantle nice and snug -- this flask has a small amount of space between the mantle and flask when it rests on the bottom (5-7mm at the top of the mantle). I just made some padding out of aluminum foil and it worked fine (still has a 1L volume, somehow?)In fact, this is the first 1L RBF I've purchased from Revain that didn't break or even show any signs of…

Pros
  • Appears to be made well...
Cons
  • Can be less efficient or effective than other types of lab glassware for certain applications

Small flask stands up to the task

Thick enough where they can take some abuse and not break the first time you make a mistake. I waited a few weeks to post my review so that I could use them a few times and I am very pleased with the quality I received.

Pros
  • I was surprised at the quality of the glass for this piece, outstanding.
Cons
  • Not compatible with all types of lab experiments or techniques

nicely made in my review

It took a little longer than I expected for these to arrive, but they seem quite nice. The only thing I've done so far is check the fit with my heating mantle and they are slightly under size. That isn't a big deal in my case - the actual total volume doesn't have to be exact and they do vary between manufacturers. If I can remember to do so, I'll update my review with the actual dimensions.update: the measurement is a little tricky - my calipers don't have jaws that reach far enough to make it

Pros
  • Great quality. Exactly as described. Great price point.
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other types of lab glassware

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality glass.

Excellent boiling flask. Strong and durable. The product takes a few weeks to arrive, but is well worth the wait.order due to lab timer failing, and stir plate remaining on. The boiling flask maintained shape, and spider web cracked after the stir bar melted. No liquid came in contact with the sir plate. Excellent, and SAFE product.Any product LABOY can be guaranteed to meet your organic chemistry needs.

Pros
  • Laboy has yet to disappoint.
Cons
  • More prone to breakage than some other types of lab glassware

Laboy makes a lot of great quality glass and this is no exception. Thick glass and very symmetrical. However it wasn't quite 1000ml. But I only put about 600ml of liquid to boil at max, so i suppose it doesn't matter too much.

Pros
  • WIDELY USED----The round bottom flask is widely used in organic chemistry,in a or vacuum apparatus ,it’s used a a flask and receiving flask with a glass condenser and some adapters like the 14 way adapter,take-off adapter; In a reflux process,it’s used as a reaction flask with a reflux condenser. It is also used as a flask in rotary evaporators.
Cons
  • May require more frequent replacement compared to other types of lab glassware
