This is a lovely set of gift bags in several of the most common sizes (2 of each of the three sizes). As you would expect from this brand they are well made and I find the colors and patterns very attractive and the cord handle is solid. The different designs go well together to give multiple gifts to the same recipient. I ordered the pink flower set and the bags have a matte finish on the outside and kraft paper on the inside, making them a bit simpler than other Hallmark gift bags I've ordered. They also don't feel that strong so they might not hold up to repeated use (yes, my fault), but they should be fine for one-time use for anything but an exceptionally heavy gift. I plan on using three and adding the rest to my gift bag stash, which is getting dangerously low (I haven't been able to get out and stock up lately). I like having a variety of sizes and styles on hand. This particular range does not include a size that would be appropriate for either a very small gift such as jewelry or a very large or bulky gift such as a jacket, large stuffed animal or Tonka truck. I can never figure out the right gift size and when trying to find a comparison the best I can do is equate M to about half a gallon of milk, L to one gallon and XL to two. Gallons - of course all shapes are wrong, but hopefully that helps a bit. I'd say XL is more like L and about 20% the volume of a standard grocery store paper bag, but it's also not that strong so bear that in mind when purchasing. Of course it's certainly a lot more economical than buying gift bags individually, but I think they're a little more expensive compared to some of the wider range of this brand, some of which are better designed and more reliable, cost more low unit price.
