Not very deep cutouts for die cutting and embossing

I bought these to cut 10 mil sheets of Mylar as stencils with my Cricut. Unfortunately, even after repeating the cutting process three times, I was unable to make a clean cut through the template material. The case and blades will come in handy for other projects, but I was sad they couldn't cut deep.
