My ears are very sensitive to metals, which has severely limited my choice of earrings. I can only wear 14k gold or silver. Hypoallergenic causes my ears to itch and swell, and even some of the earrings advertised as gold are annoying. I tried them out as soon as I got them and half-expected my ears to itch. After a few hours of wearing, still no itching. I hope they continue to work for me as long as they don't have a surface finish that wears away and exposes troublesome metal.
