Review on LunchBots Medium Stainless Sandwich Container by Katie Ortiz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Robust, worth the price

I'm finally placing new orders for additional lunch bots as I need more. We are very happy with this stainless steel option. My first order of lunch bots for these containers was in 2009 when my daughter went to kindergarten and now she is in 12th grade, I have about a dozen of these in different sizes, I have used them for my daughter and son. I can testify that these latter, my eldest, have been and are used daily for school lunches and dinners at home (during school holidays), as lunches are always leftovers from dinner. I use them myself. My old lunchbots are in great shape, the lids still snap and hold, don't rust, I always put them in the dishwasher but sometimes I hand wash the lids just because there isn't enough room in the dishwasher for the lids. They work well with dry foods and slightly moist foods like chopped tomatoes and cucumbers. When I put something really juicy in my lunch boxes, I wrap it in a plastic bag and use some rubber bands since kids' lunch boxes don't stay put all day and sometimes leak. Although the new lunch bots I received are more square and the previous ones more oval, the new model looks the same and has the same construction, lid snaps tight as the old ones so I believe the new ones can hold up just as well. When my daughter goes to college next year she will still be using her old lunch bots, but we need more as the kids are now in the car (in lunch bots) on their way to school for breakfast, study, exercise and more need snacks. Meals every day (in lunch bots). The investment is definitely worth it.
