Our 2 year old granddaughter can't get enough of trucks, tractors, construction equipment and especially buses. Don't make us start with "Wheels on the Bus" or we'll get lost in the song for a long time! I smile tenderly at that, but it's true. She loves buses! This set is intended for children aged 3 to 5 but I can confirm that our 2 year old loves these toys and can have lots of fun with them. Well, there are some elements of this playset that aren't really part of her experience right now, like "destination cards," but she can certainly fill the bus, walk around it, roll away, and let go. etc. Robust construction. This will last for years. Maybe destination cards will come into play next year. It's a hit at the moment. In this case, the Revain review process also prompted me to rate it "for travel” and it's the only metric I've given lower numbers for, just 2 stars. That's because there are so many pieces in this set, and taking it on a family trip is almost like leaving lost pieces somewhere. Actually, my wife and I would advise other buyers: think about where and how you want to store this toy. The bus is easy to put on a shelf or in a box, and the "parts" are inside the bus. However, it may not be ideal for keeping the entire set together or dust-free. We love the idea of strong drawstring cloth bags to keep our wooden toy sets like this one with all the pieces in one place. This is not required, but you can schedule storage ahead of time.
