Excellent monitor. Long battery life (before charging with USB cable). You must BUY a cheap extended warranty for complete peace of mind! I've been doing consistent, high-impact aerobic exercise (on a stationary bike and later on an elliptical trainer) since 1986. A reliable heart rate monitor is literally a "matter of life and death" (i.e. the ONLY sensor monitoring, "motor roaring overheating"). I've tested quite a few heart rate monitors since about 2002. ALL were scaly! I suspect a decent percentage of the issues were caused by battery issues. I've been using this LIVLOV V8 heart rate monitor for 2 months with no problems. I absolutely do NOT care about "whistle and bells" on heart rate monitor or heart rate monitor apps! V8 HR Monitor=Proven! Note. I used Polar's FREE heart rate monitor app (no internet required) and looked at the heart rate readings (on my smartphone) while exercising on the elliptical. I used aerobic equipment at gyms from 1994 to 2016. ALL heart rate monitors on the machines (that I tested) were FLAKEY. In the last 2 months I've only seen a "frozen heart rate monitor reading" once. This was fixed by restarting the phone and restarting the Polar heart rate app. (This is one of the applications compatible with this device.) I very rarely write reviews. . But this device and the people it helps. deserves it! As of June 2021 I haven't found another heart rate monitor at Revain (which uses a smartphone heart rate app) that had a battery other than this LivLov V8.
