There were good reviews for this product so I took a chance. One other consumer mentioned that it did not have the ear probe. I figured that person received a bad product and nothing more. I read through the details and it does not mention anywhere that there is no ear probe. I already have a forehead thermometer and it seems a little temperamental. I like the fact that it came with a cute little case to hold it and it even came with the batteries it needs which was a super nice bonus, because who likes searching for batteries when they already aren't feeling so good. Good product and very easy to use. The inovative cover allowing you to switch modes without having to press a button or toggle something on the thermometer was nice. There is an automatic shut-off feature which we liked as well to help remember to shut the unit off. The one negative issue we had was around the battery cover, but we did figure that out after the second attempt. When I first received this product I thought it might be for children only. I immediately tested it out on everyone at the house, adult and children alike. Worked like a charm. The children kept asking me to test everyone to make sure they had a green light and that "everyone was good".Don't be fooled like myself into thinking it doesn't come with batteries. they're inside the paperwork!

Very easy to use, seems to be pretty accurate. The only thing is, I couldn’t find anywhere what size batteries it needs and if they come with it. It needs 2 AAA and they do come with it.

I think this product is very cheap and somewhat difficult to understand the directions on the various functions. I don't think it's accurate because I checked my ear temp and then checked my forehead temp and the readings were way off. The timer for ear therm is like 1 second. How can you get an accurate reading if it has barely touched your ear?

I tested me and my husband several times gave inaccurate readings. Large range of difference between ear and forehead. Compared to mouth thermometer which is 100% accurate this thermometer was way off. Do not purchase, a waste of money

This is a must have is super easy to use. Fast reading and love the color coding which helps identifying any signs of fever. Also; love the option for either forehead or ear measuring.

The only issues I have are the fact I have to completely restart the product in order to take a second reading, which was not explained in the instructions. This is a great, versatile thermometer with two modes for fever detection, forehead and ear. It has a way to turn the volume off so it doesn't wake the baby, which I really appreciate! I like it better than the Exergen Temporal Thermometer I bought previously because if the baby is wiggling too much for the forehead scan, you can check the ear! I would highly recommend this one. I have several thermometers by this brand and they all work great!

I expect some leeway with accuracy for the price but this is dangerous. I took my child’s temperature with this and it read 101.2. He almost immediately had a febrile seizure and we rushed to the hospital where they read his temp as 105.6. That is an enormous discrepancy and wildly dangerous.

It says right on the box in BIG LETTERS "EAR" and forehead thermometer, but when I received the product.it was missing the probe that takes the actual ear temp. If this is purchased separately, then you must change the name of this product because I fully expected to receive the probe to be able to take my grandkids temps if needed. It works great, but I can only use it for forehead temps & not the ear, and I'm a little disappointed.

Everytime the temperature it gave was different . I could scan 3 times we in the same moment and get different readings. May be difficult to read the LED display in low light.

Product is so easy to use and quickly takes your temp! Temperature was the same taken at home with this device, as taken in doctor’s office the same day. My temp is usually about 1 degree lower and is consistently so on this device. I would recommend!

The thermometer reads accurately as far as I can tell. I've tested it on all parts of my body and it reads differently which I would expect. But every time I use my forehead it has been very close to the other readings. Now, like all others, it does NOT COME WITH THE EAR ADAPTER described in the ad. For this alone I will not purchase from iProven again. No second chances from me unless they come up with the ear piece. There is instructions on how to use it though. That's good. Ha

Very Easy to use and read. If I had small children this would be a great addition for checking water temperature,, especially for babysitters. It seems to be accurate, but I do not have another unit to compare it to. It’s quick. Comes with a little storage bag which was nice. Overall great product for the cost.

It’s decent compared to some of the other temporal thermometers I’ve used but it’s definitely not super accurate. My toddler has medical issues that result in a hospital stay of at least 48 hours if he gets a fever. I’ve gotten readings as low as 97 all the way to 101 within a minute of each other when both of our rectal thermometers would prove them to be wrong.
