This takes a bit of getting used to as you basically have to tighten the strap backwards from a regular strap due to how the buckle system works, but it's easy to trim to size by melting the cut off nylon end with a lighter to keep it from working Don't fray and let it fit properly and without too much protruding end. If you take your time it will look just as good as the original cut end.
