I have tried various brands of socks over the years and these are the best I have ever used and are made in good old USA. Tank. I usually use 200 for everyday use but when I really want to purify water I go for 100. 100 socks remove a lot of very small particles so they clog up pretty quickly but damn they can clean your water well! These socks are very well made and the material also seems to be of very high quality. It's best to order an 8-pack right away so that you don't have to wash them as often and save some money. As soon as they get dirty I turn them inside out and wash off most of the dirt (so it doesn't get stinky in my storage bucket), drain them and toss them in the storage bucket until I'm ready to wash them. . Then I throw them in my wife's washing machine, rinse them twice and use no soap just bleach and after I'm done I set them out to dry and they're ready to use again. This is a great product, made in the USA, so buy 8, your tank will thank you!
