The InterDesign Pantry Food Storage Organizer Bin for Kitchen with Air-Tight Hinged Lid-2 Quart, Clear is a great storage container. We make frequent car trips to running races and take food with us for most meals.The 5.5 inches x 6.6 inches x 5 inches size is perfect for taking all kinds of food, breakfast lunch or dinner. We place a flat freezer bag in the bottom of the container and place bagged sandwiches, rice dishes, fruit, meat, etc. on top covered by another freezer bag. The 2.2 quart capacity is great for meals for 2 people. The food stays cold for 8 hours of driving and can be removed and microwaved in the hotel room.The container has a sturdy hinged lid that opens back to about a 40 degree angle past vertical, allowing us to remove some or all of the food with the lid up. The lid has a sturdy, air tight rubber seal with a plastic clasp that keeps the food fresh. When closed, the lid has a raised border larger than the bottom panel. This allows for stacking of the containers. When we are not traveling, we store food in the box without the freezer bags in the refrigerator and freezer.The container is made of thick BPA-free plastic that must be hand washed. Unlike many plastic containers, when washed, the InterDesign Bin is free of food residue and odors.This is a great container.
