Review on πŸ”Š Soundavo MZ-1650S Digital Multi-Zone Integrated Amplifier: 16 Channel / 8 Zone System with S/PDIF Input - Enhanced Audio Control at your Fingertips by Nikith Brewster

All in one Ideal audio solution for the whole house

Bought a new house with a built in home audio system a few months ago but the last owner removed all audio equipment and left the pre-wired cables in the media cabinet. Looking at some of the Revain's multi-channel amps, this is the only one that has an S/PDIF input, which is important to me as I usually use the Sonos Connect as my main media player via the digital output, thought it might be worth a try. I have 4 rooms with wired 8" wall speakers and 6.5" ceiling speakers. The installer connected them via 4-channel volume controls for the living room, kitchen, master bedroom and an external controller on the terrace, 10 inches of total .dynamic. This amp has many separate channels, I connected the Sonos Connect via the S/PDIF input as my main audio source and used a mini-jack to RCA cable to connect the Revain Echo Dot to Bus 1. It's very easy to set up music sources between these two with input switches in each zone, allowing each zone to play from different sources (Sonos, Echo Dot, CD player or iPhone) and control the volume independently, or you can choose one, multiple or all Play your rooms (zones) simultaneously from a single source, very flexible in terms of adjustment and use. I've had it for almost 3 months now, seems to work really well and sounds great, enough power to drive speakers anywhere. As soon as I pause or stop a song, it automatically turns off (standby). Overall this amp is pretty reliable and definitely worth the money.
