I didn't know these bulbs existed until I happened to see a YouTube video. I have 6 lamps under my kitchen cabinets. They have 20W G8 xenon bulbs. They're okay, but they get hot. They usually heat up to 120 degrees after a few minutes of operation and stay hot for a while after switching off. When I saw them I thought I could save energy (6 of them use less power than 1 of the regular G8 bulbs) and they will be cooler. After replacing the headlights I checked the temp and they ran 84-86 degrees. They're a little whiter than what I would call warm white, but perfect for the kitchen cabinets. I don't have dimmers on the switches so I can't comment on that.
