I have reviewed many chairs and as my table is higher than normal game tables I have been after wanted a chair that could be a little higher than normal. The specs on the AKRacing website state that this chair has an adjustable range from the floor to the bottom of the seat of 17-20.5 inches. Ideal! Except that they are inaccurate. After receiving my first one with a completely missing/broken mounting hole in the seat, I ordered a replacement. PITA back but good. Since I couldn't even adjust the original, I never checked the height. New, u configured who? The thing is deep. 14 inches off the ground. When lifting I get 16 inches. still far from the specified range. I have contacted support via email and it is a slow process. I told them that either the brace was the wrong thickness (it extends a full 3.5 inches from the wheelbase and almost touches the ground, and if it were thicker it wouldn't go that far and would probably explain the height discrepancy. OR the shock Damper/posture wasn't long enough. Without asking for more info they sent me a new base, shock and seat bottom mount. It was actually nice and the ONLY reason I won't give 1 star.. because someone is tired of the same thing Result, however. Out of the box the chair clearly never managed to reach the 17-20 as advertised. So either someone changed the specs along the way or it's just a complete typo (y all other chairs have a lower height range.) Do so definitely not. Take this chair if you are one of the rare people who choose it for a taller height. Overall the chair is good. I have carbon and it definitely looks good, but when I use it with my desk, I'm a little kid looking at my screens. I emailed them all the details and asked them to check their assembled height at their office and possibly change their online specs (available on their website). This time I never heard from them again. Instead of returning it, I bought the Turismo gaming table below. So another $350 to get the chair working. All in all uncomfortable but with my new desk it's a decent chair. I don't like plastic and flimsy armrests, but other than that it's nice. You could probably find another chair for half the money that would work just as well. When you receive your chair you will first need to screw 4 screws through the metal arms on the seat base through the side of the backrest. and I can say they have a problem with that because the instructions say to slowly check that the screws go in smoothly and there is no material blocking them (you have to push it through the material of the chair and blindly find where it screwed in will, and then tension). I did all that but couldn't get the fourth screw in. After digging through the hole with my finger, I found that the threads that the screw was supposed to fit into were completely gone, so it would never work. Imagine a thread being pre-drilled on the inside of the backrest in the frame, then the chair is sheathed. You, the assembler, have to line up the outer bar, slip the screw through the bar, through a small piece of chair material, magically find those threads and tighten. Then cover with a piece of plastic to make everything look normal. You had to do it the other way around to get the bolt coming out from the inside, so just attach the screw to the bolt that is already visible. At least neither here nor there, but that's how my experience taught me the mechanics of chairs. At a finished height of 14-16 inches, bolting to the backrest frame is flimsy and difficult, especially the last of the 4 bolts if the rest weren't perfectly aligned. Hope that helps.
