Great bike light

I ride my bike regularly which means I sometimes have to ride home in the dark, rain or other poor light conditions. I have a Fenix BC30 that emits a maximum of 1500 lumens, runs at 2x18650 and is an absolute workhorse. However, I hate carrying it with me every day because it's big and heavy, and I hate taking it on group trips for the same reason. This Watsu light is perfect for both uses. Pros: Definitely 450 lumens. It has multiple beam modes: high, medium, low, strobe, slow flashing, and some kind of SOS flashing. The maximum corresponds to the declared 450 lumens. I haven't run any official intensity tests over time, but based on the battery I've seen inside I expect it to maintain 450 lumens for 1 hour, enough time for commuting to and from work. IPX6 waterproofing means this light is resistant to the ingress of high pressure water. Again, there were no official tests on my part, I ran it under a tap and checked the USB port seal: dry. I wouldn't recommend this with your light, but based on this test I expect this light to survive the rain without a hitch. The mount is very easy to use, the flashlight slides and locks securely. no aluminum as stated in the description. It's plastic. I'm not sure what anyone expected at this price point, but aluminum is commonly used in very expensive headlights. The taillight I received was the triangular prism type shown in the first photo. It was better than nothing but visibility from the sides in this style is very poor and not particularly bright. I have another tail light I'd like to use but thought it was worth mentioning. They have an upgraded taillight style in the second element that looks like it could be more premium and have better visibility.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • So-so
