Less charging power than expected

Given the description of these outlets, I expected great charging power from the USB ports. If I plug in directly to the USB port I get basic charging speeds, but if I plug into the DC outlet with the very same cable and a charger plug I get "fast charging" speeds. Seems odd, and almost negates the purpose of the USB port

Great product. Exactly as described! Very intuitive directions. Love the USB capability.

Cons

The TR fast charging feature may not work as advertised or be noticeably slower than other fast charging options
