I have to admit that I was initially reluctant to pay the seemingly high price of some swim trunks but the fact is they were absolutely worth the money to me. Why? Well I've just been potty training with my 22 month old and didn't feel comfortable just putting him in swim diapers (as they don't hold up very well). These shorts actually have 3 layers of protection, unlike most swim trunks you buy in stores which only have 1 layer of mesh. Using a swim nappy with these shorts was a lot more reassuring for me and I think even if my little boy was fully potty trained I would still prefer him to wear something with more protection to the beach.
