The idea of a modular water filtration system is amazing to say the least. The ability to remove and add modules based on the situation is a freedom most preppers will enjoy. But the pump itself is very disappointing. The pump failed to pump water even after three dozen strokes and failed to generate enough pressure. Even when the water came out, it was filled with a fair amount of air and not a steady stream like the MSR or Katadyn pumps. When the filter is set to inline mode, it works amazing. However, the pump itself is poorly designed. The pump handle tends to pinch your fingers when trying to move at high speeds. I had to pump at extremely high speeds to get water through. I am hoping it is the defective pump and I have contacted Renovo about the situation and am awaiting a response EDIT: I received a response from Renovo that they would replace the pump and also informed me that the pump only works in the upright position would work . I kept the pump going and gave up after 50 strokes with no water.
