This is a very good gate and we will definitely buy it again. I'm going to talk about all the pros and cons that we found after buying it and using it for a few weeks. Let's talk about the installation first. This was usually fairly easy to do with minimal effort and time. I installed all the gates in about an hour from opening the box to completing the installation. Given that this is combined with the safety, contentment and occupation of my year-old twins, it should take less than half an hour for most people. The installation consisted of: * Choosing the installation location * Tracking the position of the screws on the wall * Drilling holes in the wall * Installing wall anchors in the holes (I had a large supply of suitable wall anchors, but you may need some from your local hardware store) * Screw the anchor plates to the prepared screws with the screws provided * Extend the gate * Attach the gate to the anchors (it's just a matter of lowering the gate into the anchor points) The bottom anchors are adjustable, if the lower anchor must be mounted at a different distance from the gate, e.g. B. Anchoring to a ledge, a nice touch. After using the gate for a while, we noticed a downside: the sections, including the gate section, tend to move around a bit and not stay exactly where we placed them. To solve this problem I used a 3/4" insulated wire clamp that I screwed into our wood floor. Not exactly desirable, but a small hole I can fill in a few years when the gate is removed, so can I live with that..On the positive side the gate is well constructed and the self closing door is great.We also have self closing Munchkin gates in some of our doors and the auto close feature on these gates is much more convenient.Whereas Munchkin gates always close automatically and practice opening correctly, these gates are easier to open.They also have a hold open function where the gate door stays open when the door is fully open but can be closed with a little push.Great feature!Will definitely be using this quality gate buy again.
