I'm constantly looking for the best way to capture family outings. I have several GoPro cameras and other Insta360 camera models including the previous generation GO 1. I bought the GO 2 after seeing positive reviews on YouTube and was impressed with all the improvements Insta360 made over the previous model . I received the camera over the weekend and had the opportunity to test it on a family day trip to the beach. WOW! I really can't believe how much fun this was! The biggest difference for me was the live preview and improved image quality that transformed the camera from a cool toy to a serious everyday recording tool. I pride myself on shooting the highest quality footage possible, and being able to change my camera settings to optimize my shot was a huge turning point for me. Capturing a 10 minute clip was another big improvement over the previous version as I didn't have to constantly look at the camera to check if it was recording or not. I noticed that the stabilization was the same (or better) than my GoPro. It's incredible that Insta360 could do this with such a tiny camera. I mainly used the camera with the magnetic accessory that came with it, but I noticed that you can also use it in the charging case. Pretty elegant. I've also found that I can attach it directly to my car without any additional accessories. Not sure I recommend this, but it worked throughout my trip! The camera lasted almost a whole day and died during the shooting of the very last clip. If you slip it into a case every now and then, the battery shouldn't be an issue. Let's see what happens when I start using it more often. When it comes to editing, I usually do everything myself, but I'm really looking forward to trying out the automatic editing software once I shoot a few more clips. Camera features, and I'll be sure to explore them further in the coming weeks. Definitely a great buy! 10/10 recommend!
