I had to break in the heel, which required several socks and is not usually a problem with this type of shoe. After that, the fit was perfect in every way. I bought this brand once a few years ago and felt that it was designed specifically for my foot type which is pretty average on the thin side and my big toe is a bit longer than the second like people should be. Ha ha. I think they fit most foot types but be sure to choose 'wide' if your foot is generally wider than average as they are narrow. I wear these shoes with my black robes and colorful robes or sleeves. and getting lots of compliments, which is new and pretty funny considering I usually wear ugly orthotics. They're almost as comfortable as my ugly orthotics, but more flexible. I'm happy with them. bring you a pair :-)
