Instead of keeping a giant bag of rice in my pantry, it makes storing and distributing rice a lot easier. I had this on my counter but after organizing my pantry I was able to put it on one of my shelves and it worked great. I buy 20 pound bags of rice every time and that's enough for the whole 20 pounds. The measuring cup makes it really easy for me to measure the rice and then I just pour it straight into the rice cooker. I found it easier because I can rinse the rice and then cook it instead of washing it in a measuring cup and then pouring it into a rice cooker. Instead of grabbing a bag to see how much I have left, I can just look through the transparent window and it will tell me exactly how much I have left and when I need to buy more rice. I no longer stumble over a big bag, instead this dispenser helps me now. I was worried that the rice might get clogged inside when served, but I haven't had that problem yet. I've had to refill it quite often because we eat a lot of rice, but no matter how much I use it, it never got clogged. Easy to fill and easy to use.
